Midnight Harvest Cover

After several failed attempts, here's the cover I'll be running for Midnight Harvest.

I've also posted an update here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/243085932/midnight-harvest-thirty-one-drawings-by-richard-pa/posts/772560

I think it matches the weird horror of the interior pieces.

Midnight Harvest - Friday the 13th

Drew this to commemorate the last day of my Kickstarter for Midnight Harvest and Friday the 13th!

As of this writing there are 5 hours left in the campaign, so do take a look if you haven't already!

Tangled - Midnight Harvest

Tangled from the Midnight Harvest art book.

I’d used this coloured piece for the Kickstarter announcement, but never showed it on its own.  It was the second I drew for Inktober and the second I coloured, though Freshest was the first.

Looking at it on the colour calendar it might feel too full of light, so I may recolour it before the book goes to press.

As I'm typing this there are 32 hours left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter.   Thanks to backer support, the book is now a hardcover with an additional 12 page horror comic story I'll write, draw, and colour.  We are also over 30% of the way to another stretch goal and making the book dimensions larger.

26 of the 31 drawings have already been coloured, Over a third of the interior drawings have already been claimed as rewards as well.

I’ve been offering first-chance options on new art rewards to backers and just opened up sketch cover commissions exclusively to backers from a limited supply of these blank Marvel and DC  books I have on hand.

Please take the time to look at this art book project, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would share with any friends you think might be interested!

Thank you!

Acolyte - Midnight Harvest

Acolyte from the Midnight Harvest art book.

Inspired by the memory of a drawing I did in my sketchbook years ago, which itself was inspired by a scene in Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong

As I'm typing this there are 34 hours left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter.   Thanks to backer support, the book is now a hardcover with an additional 12 page horror comic story I'll write, draw, and colour.  We are also over 30% of the way to another stretch goal and making the book dimensions larger.

Once Bitten - Midnight Harvest

Once Bitten from the Midnight Harvest art book.
View the Kickstarter here.

Back to colouring these in the order they were drawn.  I had just watched AMERICAN MARY prior to drawing this one and I think I was trying to capture the glorious intensity of the main character.

Two days left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter and we’ve crossed the first stretch goal and the book is now a hardcover and are very quickly closing in on the second stretch goal of a 12 page horror comic story. As of typing it's $133 dollars away.

25 of the 31 drawings have already been coloured, Over a third of the interior drawings have already been claimed as rewards as well.

Unseen - Midnight Harvest

Unseen from the Midnight Harvest art book.

Back to colouring these in the order they were drawn.  Unseen mixed a little Oedipus with The Yellow Sign and general creepiness!

Three days left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter and we’ve crossed the first stretch goal and the book is now a hardcover and are very quickly closing in on the second stretch goal of a 12 page horror comic story.

Satisfied - Midnight Harvest

Satisfied from the Midnight Harvest art book.

I've been colouring these pieces in the order they were made in for the most part, but I skipped ahead and coloured this one since her smile and the name of the piece seemed most appropriate to reaching the funding goal for the book.

Four days left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter and we've crossed the first stretch goal and the book is now a hardcover. 23 of the 31 drawings have already been coloured, Over a third of the interior drawings have already been claimed as rewards as well.
