Marvel Beginnings - Fandral

The really should have cast Rob Lowe as Fandral in the Thor movie.

Or not, but the idea amuses me!

Marvel Beginnings - Hogun

Who isn't a sucker for the Warriors Three?

It's pretty easy to guess who's coming up next after running Thor, Sif and Hogun, yeah?

Massive Marvel Beginnings Easter Monday! 2 Eggheads and a Chrome Dome

Bullseye, Kingpin and Thor!

Was trying to work ahead a bit and accidentally "published" this entry yesterday for a few minutes instead of saving as a draft -- oops!

Multiple Marvel Beginnings Mondays: Daredevil, Cloak and Dagger

All the large puzzles are done, but I wanted to keep showing larger numbers of the cards on Mondays, so I'll put three from the set up here every Monday until I run out.

99 Thor Heads 59

Bet he needs those wings and all that hair over his ears to keep from going deaf from the sound of all the thunder.

Thorsday Threesome!

Hey -- I drew Thor with a "grrrrr" face!

I like characters that go "grrrr".  Thor, Wolverine, Batman, Tony the Tiger. . . .

Marvel Beginnings - Jubilee

I think I mentioned before I had sketched a few of these cards out for one of my classes  as a demonstration of quick head sketches.  I'm not sure I mentioned I let my students choose which characters I drew.  In this case it's Jubilee;  former mutant, current vampire.

An aside: I managed to snag the first issue of Kathryn Immonen & Phil Noto's mini-series about Wolverine and Jubilee and it was really, really good.  I missed the second so I'm going to trade-wait now, but thought I should plug a well-written and drawn book.

Red Sonja Inks

Inked!

Gonna try and colour it tonight to have at the con this weekend.

Marvel Beginnings - Cable

He's been around for decades in the most popular books in history and I only have the vaguest idea about what his powers are and who he is.

99 Thor Heads Thorsday - 51 & 52

Two more Thor sketch cards from the recently released Upper Deck set.

You know -- I really liked the alliteration from last week's Thorsday Threesome, so here's one more!
He looks a little surprised at the turn of events.

For the remainder of the cards I'll post three every Thorsday.

Red Sonja Pencils

Decided to do something more finished with the Red sketch.

The tree with skulls is based on a memory of a really cool water colour sketch of Red by another artist -- possibly Dan Panosian.  If I can dig it up I'll add a link here.

Yup -- it's Dan Panosian and you can see the gorgeous piece here

Red Sonja Sketch

Another woman with a sword and no pants.

I sense a developing trend. . .

Marvel Beginnings - Spider-Man

Every once in a while it's fun to draw Spider-Man.

Considering his costume detail, it'll only remain fun if I only draw him once in a while.

Massive Marvel Beginnings Monday! Wolverine and X-23 8-card puzzle

Wolverine and his kinda-sorta daughter/clone airing out their claws.

I think I've only one more of these larger puzzles left to share next Monday.

Pants! NSFW

Why, yes, I thoroughly enjoyed SUCKERPUNCH.

Why do you ask?

Marvel Beginnings - Thor

Thor.

I know, right?!

Right in the middle of the 99 B&W Thor sketch cards I actually did a colour Thor card for Marvel Beginnings.

Actually, I did two

I like Thor, obviously.

Marvel Beginnings - Rogue

Rogue.

Actually sketched some of these cards out as part of a demonstration for my 1st year students.
