Decided to leave DC alone for a week and took a recently overheard conversation at a comic shop about recent developments in the Ultimate Spider-Man book as inspiration.
I don't have a problem with the new Spider-Man being Black/Hispanic. It's just that he's too young!
Hell, in the early days, Peter Parker looked like a scrawny scarecrow in the costume and a number of villains almost pissed in their pants laughing...until he got his hands on them! It was a clever gimmick, and it worked!
But someone who's still under 5'6", with a high-pitched kid's voice, and scrawny?
Why couldn't he at least be a high school junior/senior?
